Claims Kardinia International College founding principal ‘should have known’ about alleged abuse

The principal who led Kardinia International College at the time three students were allegedly assaulted remains on the school’s board.

John Goodfellow was appointed the college’s founding principal in 1995 and remained in the position until his retirement in 2015. According to the school’s website, he was a college director for 21 years.

Arnold Thomas & Becker Lawyers are representing all three former students and have issued separate writs in the Supreme Court seeking damages from the school.

All allegations relate to a period of time when Mr Goodfellow was principal.

Two of the former students allege they were abused by former teacher Nicholas Frampton in 2004, while another student was allegedly abused by a different male teacher.
