Matthew Fitzgerald

Principal

Matt joined Arnold Thomas & Becker as a Senior Associate in 2019, and was appointed as a Partner in 2022. Prior to commencing with the firm, he spent over seven years at a national firm representing injured workers in the Gippsland region.

Matt has a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University and worked as an Accountant prior to commencing his legal career. He then studied Graduate Entry Law at Victoria University, obtaining his Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) in 2011, he was admitted to practice in 2012.

Matt has extensive experience in WorkCover matters, he also represents clients injured in motor vehicle accidents and in public areas.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his pug, going to to the gym and listening to rap music.
