Shalyn Mathew

Associate

Dandenong based lawyer Shalyn graduated from Deakin University with Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Criminology in 2019. Eager to commence her legal career, she took on varying paralegal roles whilst studying law. This led her to opportunities working on the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System. This has built on her empathy for clients facing mental health challenges.

Following her admission to the Supreme Court of Victoria in June 2020, she moved to New South Wales to pursue her passion and commence her career in personal injury law. Whilst in NSW, she practised in medical negligence and public liability. Shalyn has recently returned back home to Victoria and joins the Arnold Thomas & Becker team in Dandenong with great enthusiasm and a strong passion to achieve the best results for her clients. She is now helping clients obtain compensation for transport accident claims, WorkCover, public liability and medical negligence claims.

Shalyn also speaks Malayalam from Southern India.

Away from the office, Shalyn keeps active hiking, playing netball and spending time with her loved ones.
